The contractor will design, fabricate, and install an exterior historical installation and plaque at the I-81 Bristol Welcome Center. The installation will recreate key elements of the 1927 Bristol Sessions recording environment, including historically accurate representations of musicians, period instruments, early recording equipment, microphones, and furnishings. The work includes site preparation, installation design, labor for setup and installation, materials (exterior-grade paints, brushes, rollers, protective finish), equipment rental (scaffolding/lift if required), final UV/weather-resistant coating, cleanup, photo documentation, and fabrication and installation of a solid bronze plaque with specified text. The contractor must also incorporate a state-provided QR code into the final design.

Most Tennessee work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. Apply straight through for it — or prequalify once and skip the application on both.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what a GC or agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
