Rubbish Removal and Recycling Services
The Contractor must provide all labor, vehicles, equipment, containers, tools, and materials required to perform waste and/or recycling removal and related services. Services include rubbish removal (collection, hauling, disposal, container service, roll-off service, compactor service) and recycling services (collection of recyclable materials, transport to approved recycling processing facilities). The Contractor must provide, install, rent, service, repair, replace, and maintain containers and equipment in sizes including 96-gallon carts, 2- to 8-yard dumpsters, 10- to 40-yard roll-off containers, and 20- to 42-yard compactors. Service needs vary by location and may include seasonal changes, multiple container sizes, and varying pickup frequencies (daily, multiple times per week, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, seasonally, or on-call). The Contractor must also provide unscheduled, on-call, extra, same-day, and emergency pickups upon request. The work is performed at State-owned and State-operated facilities throughout Michigan.
