The State of South Carolina, through the State Fiscal Accountability Authority (SFAA), Division of Procurement Services, is soliciting bids on behalf of the SC Department of Employment and Workforce (SCDEW) for a one-time purchase of a Mobile Unit for Employment Outreach, which is a custom-built mobile one-stop career coach vehicle.
The scope of work covers a new, tested, and certified commercially produced Mobile One Stop Unit built on a current model year Freightliner M2-106 conventional chassis or equivalent. The vehicle must meet or exceed all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) applicable to multi-purpose passenger vehicles. The work includes all chassis features and equipment (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, fuel system, tires, etc.), body features and equipment (aluminum body, floor, roof, lighting, seating, etc.), and extensive upfitting components. Upfitting includes a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker; audio/visual equipment including a 5-in-One antenna and pre-wiring for a customer-owned LCD TV; an electric awning; custom cabinetry with dry erase board facings; a conference area with bench seating and removable table; one staff desk and ten student workstations (one ADA compliant); two patron doors with stair systems; a complete 120/240V electrical system with generator; two roof-top air conditioners with heat strips; a computerized hydraulic leveling system; interior and exterior LED lighting; two 24-inch slide-outs; exterior and interior storage; a wheelchair lift compliant with ADA and FMVSS 403/404; and full Wi-Fi/connectivity pre-wiring. The vehicle requires a full green wrap graphics package. Delivery is FOB Destination to South Carolina State Fleet, 1447 Boston Ave., West Columbia, SC 29170, and includes on-site training, manuals, and minimum warranties (chassis 3 years/36,000 miles, powertrain 3 years/36,000 miles, body 2 years, upfitting/conversion 1 year).
