The City of San Antonio will utilize online bidding services via CivCast at https://www.civcast.com/bids for the South Flores Street (Commerce Street to Martin Street) project.
Scope: From Commerce to Martin the curb will generally by removed and replaced, narrowing the street and widening the sidewalk. Sidewalks over basements will need to be carefully removed, waterproofing applied to the area, and replacing the sidewalk. In 2 locations, sidewalks over basements will be demolished and reconstructed with a new supporting understructure. Sidewalk topping will be used from Commerce to Houston. There will be minor street reconstruction. Most street work will consists of mill & overlay with new concrete bus pads installed, including signage and lane markings. New traffic signals from Houston Martin will be installed. Storm sewer trunkline will be replaced from Flores to
Camaron; inlets at Flores and Salinas will be removed and replaced. Street trees and irrigation will also be included.
