The City of Sacramento is seeking a qualified Third-Party Claims Administrator (TPA) to provide comprehensive administration of general and automobile liability claims on the City's behalf. The selected contractor will be responsible for all aspects of claims management, including timely claim intake and investigation, regulatory compliance, reserve management, settlements, litigation coordination, conflict workers' compensation claims, and communication with excess insurance carriers. The TPA will also maintain electronic claims records, manage the City's claims system and trust account, prepare required reports, and provide City staff with access to claims data while ensuring compliance with public records and records retention requirements. In addition, the contractor will support the City by attending mediations, court hearings, and City meetings as requested, maintaining 24/7 emergency response capabilities, and providing professional claims expertise to ensure efficient, compliant, and effective claims administration throughout the term of the contract.

Additional Requirements-
• Handling claims adjusters must have a minimum of five years' experience providing Third-Party Administrator services and handling public safety claims for large public entities in California.
• Provide claim management system that City staff can access to review and approve claims.
• The Contractor shall comply with all Special Handling Instructions issued by the City, including any updates or revisions provided during the term of the contract.
• Should the City elect to accept new claims electronically during the term of the contract, the Contractor shall integrate with and support any software solution selected by the City, at no additional cost to the City.
• The Proposal shall be no longer than 50 pages.
