The City of Sacramento, Fire Department is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to furnish and install security fencing, automated security gates, pedestrian access gates, and associated improvements at Fire Station 8, located at 5990 H Street, Sacramento, CA. The purpose of this project is to improve site security and controlled access for Fire Department personnel, vehicles, and facilities.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, permits, and incidentals necessary to complete the Fire Station 8 security fencing and automated gate installation.
The work is anticipated to include, but is not limited to:
Installation of perimeter security fencing (approx. 319 linear feet of
8’ tall, galvanized chain link security fence with privacy slats); Installation of an automated vehicular access gate (approx. one 20’ automated rolling vehicular gate); Installation of pedestrian access gates (approx. one pedestrian swing gate with panic hardware); Associated gate operators, controls, and safety devices; Electrical work necessary to support the automated gate system; Concrete footings, minor site preparation, and related restoration; Coordination of utility locating and avoidance; Testing, adjustment, and final commissioning of all installed systems; Removal and disposal of construction debris; and Restoration of disturbed areas to a condition acceptable to the City.
Details
All work shall be performed in accordance with the final plans, specifications, applicable codes, permit requirements, manufacturer requirements, and all other solicitation and contract documents. All work must be completed and billed by December 31, 2026.

This project is funded through the FY 2024 State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) and is subject to applicable federal and state regulations.
