The City of Sacramento, Community Development Department is requesting qualification statements from qualified Contractors for the purpose of establishing an On-Call list for Non-Emergency Demolition Services to assist City staff with future buildings and structures that are in violation of Sacramento City Code and need to be demolished as a matter of public health and safety. Request for services will be made on a project-by-project basis. The City’s intent is to select multiple Contractors to provide On-Call services for projects on an as-needed basis. The City will enter into a contract, which will include an annual not-to-exceed amount. As a project becomes available, the City will contact On Call Contractors to provide a quote for Demolition Services.
Determination for project fulfillment will be based on staff expertise, availability of staff, other related qualifications and the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the City’s project manager.
Each project may vary in scope and magnitude. Additional requirements may be added depending upon the funding for each individual project. There is no minimum guarantee of work under these contracts.
The City reserves the right to utilize different project delivery methods in order to achieve its goal of streamlining the delivery of projects. In some instances, a contractor may team up with a pre-selected contractor to deliver a project. The On-Call list will be utilized for a one (1) year period, with the City’s option to extend the time of performance for additional one (1) year terms up to a total agreement term of three (3) years. The City uses a “Qualifications Based Selection” process in determining which Contractor(s) will be selected for the On-Call list. The Contractor selection process begins with the Request for Qualifications (RFQ). The process will include an evaluation and ranking of each Contractor based on a set evaluation criteria.
