Statewide Stormwater Improvements - PROTECT Grant

The project involves constructing 89 stormwater treatment units (STUs) statewide within 10 watersheds in Rhode Island. Work includes handling, hauling, and stockpile management of contaminated and unclassified soils; load and haul of contaminated soil types 2, 3, and 4; disposal of contaminated soil types 2, 3, and 4; load, haul, and disposal of soil type 1 and type 5; maintenance and cleaning of erosion, sediment, and pollution prevention controls; field office; mobilization; furnish, install, maintain, and move temporary traffic control; and installation of various stormwater treatment structures including hydrodynamic separators, infiltration swales, infiltration basins, underground infiltration systems, water quality swales with detention, extended detention basins, lined underground sand filters, lined sand filters, sand filters, wet swales/basins, wet basins, IC disconnections, stabilized gravel paved lots, pavement removal, and unanticipated soil cap.
