Scope of work involves reconstruction of the I-81 Exit 219 interchange (Gibson) including relocation of the SB off-ramp (Ramp H), reconstruction and geometry improvement of the remaining existing ramps, shoulder improvement and mill and overlay, SR 848 widening and reconstruction and SR 2081 and T-561 reconstruction. Structure and Geotech scope includes replacement of the SR 848 over SR 0081 bridge (S-37456), replacement of the Ramp G culvert (S-37453), construction of a new Ramp H culvert (S-37454), extension of the existing SR 848 culvert (S-37455), GRS Slope, Soil Nails and Rock Fill slopes. Traffic will be maintained using staged construction including temporary signals at the bridge approaches. Also includes new signing, pavement markings, highway lighting, ITS devices, utility relocations, replacement or upgrade of drainage (including 72” jack and bore across I-81) and barrier protection and other miscellaneous construction, as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for STATE ROUTE SR 81, SECTION 590, in SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY, HARFORD AND NEW MILFORD TOWNSHIPS from approximately 0.7 miles south of SR 848 at NB/SB segment 2184/2185 offset 0978/1008 to approximately 0.8 miles north of SR 848 at NB/SB segment 2200/2201 offset 0856/0944.
