Invitation for Quote/Bid. Furnish and install Clear Armor Bullet Resistant Laminate (or Palm Beach County approved equal) to first floor windows at the State Attorney's Office Building at 421 3rd Street, West Palm Beach, Florida. The laminate must maintain integrity without color changes due to environmental exposure, achieve minimum break strength of 1500 psi, tensile strength of 28,500 psi, and peel strength of 8 psi. The product must resist impact from common handguns, bomb blasts, high winds, chemical attacks, and smash and grabs. The laminate must provide privacy preventing outside visibility into the building and must have verifiable proof of standards testing including UL 752, UL2A Rating (Bullet Resistance), BMAG (Blast Mitigation), and ANSI Z97.1 (Safety Glazing Materials for Buildings). All materials shall be installed in strict accordance with manufacturer's written instructions and recommendations and in conformance with applicable Federal, State and Local codes. Contractor shall provide site preparation, submit construction schedule for approval, coordinate with Project Manager, obtain all measurements, submit product approvals, provide Certificate of Occupancy or Completion from Building official prior to final payment, and warrants all work against defects for 12 months from substantial completion.
