The contractor must deliver a variety of shelf-stable food items organized into six classes: Class 1 (Beans/Peas), Class 2 (Fruits/Vegetables), Class 3 (Dry Goods), Class 4 (Pasta/Grains), Class 5 (Wet Goods/Sauces), and Class 6 (Meat/Fish). Deliveries are to be made to various DOC locations, primarily Riker's Island, with weekly deliveries required. The contractor must schedule appointments, use CHEP or approved pallets, adhere to pallet height limits, and provide bills of lading. The contract is subject to New York City food standards, NYS local sourcing requirements, and quality inspections by DCAS Bureau of Quality Assurance.
