Contracts awarded under this method may not exceed $1,500,000 inclusive of any and all change orders, overruns, amendments, renewals and extensions. The NYC Law Department is soliciting a Request for Quotation (RFQ) in regard to Transcription and Translation/Language Services from qualified, certified, M/WBE contractors to provide a variety of language services for the following categories: 1. Transcription of Digital Audio /Video Files; 2. Telephonic Interpretation Services; 3. In- Person Interpretation Services; 4. Sign Language Services; and 5. Translation Services. We expect the awarded contract pertaining to these services to be for a period of three years with one two-year renewal upon mutual consent. The anticipated term of this contract will be from 11/01/2026 to 10/31/2029 with one two-year renewal option. Contract term: 11/1/2026 – 10/31/2029
The contractor will provide written transcription of audio/video sources for all languages covered, transcribing verbatim all audible portions of recordings, and identifying inaudible sections. The contractor will also provide scheduled in-person interpretation services for consecutive and simultaneous interpretations, scheduled sign language interpretation services with certified interpreters, and quality translations for all language pairs involving English and any language spoken by residents of the City. The contractor must provide all labor and materials required, maintain confidentiality, and deliver transcripts and translations in the manner requested by the Law Department.
