Description

This interchange reconstruction project is the second phase of a project to increase safety and mobility on NYS Route 17 in proximity to the interchange with Crystal Run Road, East Main Street. The project will complete the reconstruction of the Exit 122 interchange to meet interstate standards for design, as the entirety of Route 17 is designated to be converted to Interstate 86. Work includes new ramps on the Westbound side of Route 17 to Crystal Run Road and to Interstate 84 Eastbound, and to improve the ramp from Crystal Run Road to Route 17 Eastbound. Work will also include pedestrian improvements including a shared use path along Crystal run road, the widening of the NY Route 17 over the Wallkill River bridge, and signal improvements where necessary. This project is located in the Town of Wallkill in Orange County.
