Project Description: the project involves work at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn. The project consists of selective demolition and a complete interior fit-out for new Outposted Therapeutic Housing Units at Woodhull Hospital. The primary work includes construction of secure patient housing, dormitories/bedrooms, dayrooms, medical and behavioral-health rooms, staff stations, offices, visitation areas, showers, toilets, sallyports and support spaces on the 9th and 10th floors.
Additional work includes a grade-level vehicular sallyport and controlled DOC access, elevator/core and service-area modifications, and a secured 11th-floor rooftop active and passive recreation area with new structural supports, roofing and security enclosures. The project also includes hazardous-material abatement and complete HVAC, plumbing, fire-protection, electrical, lighting, fire-alarm, telecommunications, AV and security-system installations and tie-ins.
Project Labor Agreement:** **The successful low bidder, as condition of being awarded this Contract, will be required to execute the PLA. All subcontractors of every tier will be required to agree to be bound by the PLA.
