SUNY Upstate Medical University intends to purchase Becton Dickinson Safety Huber Needles and related accessories utilizing Becton Dickinson Premier contract PP-NS-1889 pursuant to its authority under New York State Finance Law, section 163 (3) (vi), which authorizes the purchases of commodities from a consortium or comparable entity in lieu of using a centralized contract and without a formal competitive process when justified by price. Vendors who sell equivalent Becton Dickinson PICC and Midline Access devices, equipment, supplies, and related accessories may, if interested, contact Taylor Butchko to discuss the procurement.

Equivalency must be demonstrated by meeting the clinical performance of the Becton Dickinson Becton Dickinson Safety Huber Needles, related accessories. If offering a clinical equivalent, the vendor must provide free supporting clinical documentation, and equipment for examination, demonstration, and trial.
