Construction of New Child Development Center - Fort Hamilton, NY

E.W. Howell Co., LLC is actively seeking Bids from Small Businesses (SBs), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), HUBZONE Small Businesses , Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs), and Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs) certified firms for the construction of a new Child Development Center (16,632 sf) with adjacent outdoor play areas (16,667 sf) for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years of age. The facility will include all required program spaces including kitchen facilities, building information systems, fire protection and alarm systems, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) installation, and Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) connection. Outdoor play areas include age-appropriate child development equipment, safety surfacing and fencing. Supporting facilities include site development, utilities connections, lighting, paving, parking, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, Low Impact Development (LID), landscaping and signage. Work will include installation of information systems, video monitoring, alarm and intercom systems. Heating and air conditioning will be provided by self-contained system. Construction will include the Department of Defense (DoD) Minimum Antiterrorism Force Protection for Buildings standards. Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided. Cyber Security Measures will be incorporated into this project, and Sustainability/Energy measures will be provided.
