The Environmental Microbiology Department processes dairy samples submitted to the Biological Sciences Bureau on a weekly basis. All methods and instrumentation must be approved by the FDA. Charm consumables and instruments are approved for use by the FDA and provide accurate data for the New Mexico Department of Agriculture's determination of safe dairy sales. The contract covers consumables for Charm Sciences instruments used in antibiotic testing of dairy samples.
