The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for the above-mentioned project.

The contractor shall furnish all labor and materials for Interstate Lighting Repair and Maintenance work on various routes. Work includes installation and maintenance of temporary traffic control devices (signs, drums, cones, barricades, flaggers, and truck-mounted attenuators), lane and shoulder closures with appropriate tapers and buffer lengths, electrical service installation (meter base, riser, disconnect, wire, breakers, grounding), work zone setup and removal, construction lighting, and coordination with adjacent projects. The contractor shall maintain traffic on all roads during construction, install work zone advance warning signs when work is within 40 feet of travel lanes, and close lanes or shoulders as required based on proximity to work activities. Emergency mobilization requires arrival on site within four hours of notification. All work must comply with 2024 NCDOT Standard Specifications, roadway standard drawings, and Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Work zone operations during specified hours are restricted (6:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday through Sunday, with additional holiday restrictions); violations of these restrictions may incur liquidated damages of $1,000 per hour.
