The contractor must produce and deploy a minimum of 200,000,000 qualifying spat-on-cultch oysters onto state-owned reefs, using a minimum of 4,000 cubic yards of cultch material. Oysters must average 5mm or larger in size, with a density range of 30,000 to 80,000 qualifying spat per cubic yard. Broodstock must be sourced from Mississippi Sound waters. The contractor must give MDMR at least 48 hours' notice before any deployment, deploy Monday through Thursday only unless pre-approved, allow MDMR to observe and approve cultch and spat health at the nursery prior to deployment, provide MDMR staff with on-site access to inspect all phases, and provide two contractor staff to participate in sample processing at each deployment. The contractor must also maintain records documenting broodstock source, spat set size and density, and production and deployment quantities.
