The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering (BOE), Environmental Management Division (EMD) is seeking a consultant to provide installation of a new retaining structure and associated roadway improvements near 8255 Vista Del Mar. The retaining structure would consist of a steel soldier pile and precast concrete lagging panel bulkhead approximately 258 feet in length, with a maximum height of approximately 11 feet. The Project is required to address roadway distress associated with settlement and creep of underlying subgrade materials, which has resulted in damage to the roadway. Without stabilization, continued degradation could compromise roadway integrity and pose a risk to public safety. The proposed improvements would restore lateral support to the roadway and stabilize the adjacent slope, thereby maintaining safe access and protecting public infrastructure from further erosion and failure.
