RFP-907 Arch DOC - BCC Install Kitchen HVAC, Blackburn Corr.

The project consists of providing complete architectural and engineering design services for the replacement of the existing kitchen heating system and installation of a new HVAC system serving the Blackburn Correctional Complex kitchen. The kitchen currently has no mechanical cooling and relies on an existing steam heating system. The design shall replace the steam heating system with a new direct-expansion (DX) HVAC system capable of providing both heating and cooling. Professional services shall include investigation of existing conditions, programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, cost estimating, bidding assistance, permitting coordination, and construction administration. The selected A/E shall provide architectural, mechanical, electrical and related engineering services required to accommodate the new HVAC system, including utility modifications, controls integration, building alterations, testing and balancing requirements, commissioning specifications, and phasing recommendations to minimize disruption to kitchen operations.
