KET requires contract Production Technicians to operate professional studio cameras and pedestals, professional broadcast and/or cinema cameras for field productions, and provide field audio and studio audio production services. Work originates from the KET Network Center in Lexington (600 Cooper Drive) or the KET Louisville Production Center (471 W. Main Street). Technicians may work on programs such as Kentucky Tonight, Comment on Kentucky, Kentucky Edition, Kentucky Life, and other educational programs. Each contractor could work up to 230 days during the initial contract period, but work is not guaranteed. Technicians must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to fifty pounds, and maintain a professional demeanor.
