Awarded Mental Health Professionals will attend 4-day seminars (minimum 8 hours per day) primarily in Lexington, KY and Bowling Green, KY. Services include listening to participants' critical incidents, monitoring stress reactions, taking notes for 1:1 therapy, assisting with mental health assessments, providing 1:1 evaluation and talk therapy, offering EMDR or other modality therapy, following up with participants, offering instruction on specialty topics if requested, collaborating with other mental health professionals and peer team members, and suggesting referrals if needed. MHPs must attend a team meeting the day prior to the seminar and a team debriefing at the conclusion. They must comply with all applicable state and federal laws, maintain strict confidentiality, undergo a DOCJT background check, and observe two complete KYPCIS events before becoming eligible.
