The solicitation is for a master agreement to supply highway material spreaders to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Equipment. The primary items are: Line 1 - six (6) 13.0 CU YD stainless steel hopper spreaders with liquid calcium dispenser and center discharge for large tandem dump trucks; Line 4 - three (3) 16.0 CU YD stainless steel hopper spreaders with liquid calcium dispenser and center discharge for tri-axle dump trucks. Optional line items include offset chute options (Lines 2 and 5) and tank upgrade options to two (2) 400-gallon tanks (Lines 3 and 6). Line 7 is for parts, where the vendor provides a percentage discount on the manufacturer's list price. The spreaders must be constructed of type 304 stainless steel, feature twin 7-inch variable-pitch augers, a spinner assembly, an electric liquid de-icing dispenser unit, and be capable of spreading granular salt at rates from 250 to 1200 lbs. per 2-lane mile at 10 to 30 MPH. The units must be fully warranted for one year against defective materials and workmanship. The master agreement will be for an initial period expiring 10/31/2027, with four optional one-year renewals.
