Indiana Veteran's Home is requesting assistance for Hospital Laundry Services for a 5-year contract with 1 optional year at the States option. This service would provide hospital type linens, including, but no limited to towels, sheets, washcloths, blankets, etc. these items would be rented from the vendor and picked up and dropped off 2 times weekly.
The selected contractor shall provide comprehensive linen management services for the Indiana Veterans' Home, including supplying and delivering clean linen items (sheets, pillowcases, towels, blankets, gowns, underpads, wash cloths, etc.), picking up and transporting soiled linen, sorting/counting/tracking inventory, laundering and finishing all linen per healthcare sanitation standards, repairing or replacing damaged linen, and folding/sorting clean linen into carts. Services also include personal laundry services for residents, with pickup and delivery Monday-Friday for personal linens and twice weekly for hospital linens. The contractor must comply with CDC, OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards, maintain strict separation of clean and soiled linen, and provide bi-weekly reports on linen loss, pounds processed, and corrective actions.
