The bid package is available for download through the Bid Documents link in the Event Name column. This bid is not eligible for electronic bid through the Supplier Portal. To allow for sufficient processing time in compliance with Indiana State law, all quoted prices offered to the State under this Event must be valid for thirty (30) calendar days after the Response Due By date/time.
Pricing must include all applicable charges, fees, and shipping.
The Concession Operator shall provide guided horse trail rides, pony rides, hayrides, and other equestrian-related activities normally associated with this type of concession operation. Operator may also offer instructional classes, lessons, education programs, camps, and equine exhibitions approved by the DNR. The operating season for the saddle barn is generally May through October, open a minimum of Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the recreation season; additional operating days/times are negotiable. The contractor shall furnish suitable equine string, supply, tack, med/vet health and safety equipment, vehicles, and saddle barn supplies and equipment. The contractor shall be responsible for securing and maintaining all animals and required equipment and supplies. The contractor shall employ suitable employees, maintain the facility in a clean and inviting manner, and carry out all terms and conditions of the Concession Agreement. The State provides a saddle barn with office, animal stalls, storage areas, employee restroom, two bridle trails, a hitching rail, a cement water trough, and a fenced turn-out lot. The contractor is responsible for maintaining these and keeping them in good repair, and for paying for electric, telephone, sewage, water, and internet utilities.
