Without the fish hatcheries stocking the streams, lakes, and State Properties (State Parks) with an assortment of fish - Coho, Salmon, Trout, Catfish, Walley, Large Mouth Bass and many other types of fish - the fishing would be non-existent. In order to maintain a healthy and viable animal we need to establish a contract that can provide quality feed for the program.
The contractor will supply fish feed in four groups (Starter, Granule, Pellet, Brood) to seven fish hatcheries across Indiana. Deliveries are quarterly (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) with estimated annual quantities of 170,500 pounds. Feed must meet detailed specifications for Pacific Salmon and Steelhead diets, including minimum guaranteed analysis for protein, fat, fiber, and moisture, and must be milled no more than 30 days prior to delivery. Packaging is in new multi-wall bags or boxes with moisture-proof liners, net weight not exceeding 55 pounds. Delivery must be within 21 days of order notification and within 60 days of feed mixing date. Pricing is per pound, all-inclusive of shipping for orders of 24,000 pounds or more; smaller orders may incur shipping charges.
