ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
PART 1 GENERAL
1.01. COMPETITIVE COST SEALED BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the FY 2026 TIA Resurfacing & Widening Project
will be received, by Echols County Board of Commissioners, at 110 General Deloach
Road, Statenville, GA 31648, until 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 24, 2026, local
time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be
withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
1.02. CONTRACTOR LICENSE
Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of
Transportation Contractor. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid
envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. See
Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements.
1.03. SCOPE OF WORK
The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment
necessary to construct the proposed FY 2026 TIA Resurfacing & Widening Project as
shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of resurfacing and
striping Bethal Church Rd. and widening/resurfacing and striping J-Frank Culpepper Rd.
and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work
is 120 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and
ready for contract close-out with 134 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be
completed in accordance with the plans and specifications.
The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to resurface and stripe Bethal Church Rd. and widen, resurface, and stripe J-Frank Culpepper Rd., along with all associated measures for the complete project, in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work is to be substantially completed within 120 consecutive calendar days and fully closed out within 134 consecutive calendar days, and will be awarded as one contract.
