Statements of qualifications and proposals are being requested from consultants with a strong record of
successfully assisting local governments with the administration and implementation of federally funded
community and economic development projects. Responding firms should be qualified to provide grant
administration, regulatory compliance, reporting, procurement assistance, environmental review
coordination, and related grant management services.
Plans are to contract within one year from the date of this notice with a qualified consulting firm to
provide grant administration and related services for federally funded community and economic
development projects. Immediate plans call for services associated with the administration and
implementation of the City of Chickamauga's U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Community Project Funding (CPF) grant. The project includes blight remediation, public infrastructure
improvements, streetscape and community development activities, utility relocations and upgrades,
including underground electrical improvements, and other eligible project activities necessary to support
downtown revitalization and economic development objectives. The selected firm may also be
considered, on a project-by-project basis, for grant writing, grant administration, compliance monitoring,
environmental review coordination, procurement assistance, reporting, labor standards compliance,
Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliance, closeout services, and related activities for other state
and federally funded programs.
