Qualified vendors are invited to submit sealed bids, subject to conditions and
instructions as specified for the furnishing of:
ON-CALL ELECTRICAL
INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES
(ANNUAL CONTRACT)
GENERAL SCOPE
It is the intent of the Columbus Consolidated Government ( the City) to establish an
annual contract with a Primary and a Secondary contractor to provide all labor,
equipment and materials for the provision of on-call Electrical installation and
maintenance services during normal business hours and after hours on an “as needed
basis”, on all buildings and structures for Columbus Consolidated Government.
The contract term will be for two (2) years with the option to renew for three (3)
additional twelve-month periods.

The contractor will provide 24/7 response to electrical emergencies (power outages, short circuits, fire hazards); emergency isolation and repairs to restore service; troubleshooting and repair of lighting systems, receptacles, and switches; repair of conduit, wiring, and junction boxes; replacement of damaged or outdated electrical components; interior and exterior lighting installation and repair (including LED upgrades); parking lot, walkway, and security lighting; breaker and panel diagnostics and repair; replacement of ballasts, drivers, and lighting controls; installation of lighting, receptacles, switches, and fixtures; circuit additions or modifications; and new panel installations and upgrades. The contract covers electrical services throughout the City of Columbus, GA.
