INTRODUCTION:
This is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for FIRE ANT INSPECTION, TREATMENT, AND CONTROL SERVICES in
Rockdale County. Instructions for preparation and submission of a bid are contained in this packet. Bids must be
typed or printed in ink.

To maintain a “level playing field”, and to assure that all bidders receive the same information, bidders are
requested NOT to contact anyone other than the contact above until after the award of the contract. Doing so
could result in disqualification of the bidder.
BID COPIES FOR EVALUATION:
One (1) USB Flash Drive in Adobe PDF format will be required for review purposes.
The contractor must conduct thorough inspections of assigned sites to identify fire ant mounds, apply EPA-approved insecticides labeled for fire ant control, coordinate with Park and Recreation staff to avoid conflicts with events, perform routine treatments at least 7 weeks apart during peak season (March-December), provide emergency/spot treatments within 48 hours of notification, retreat areas at no additional cost if infestations persist within 10-14 days, supply all labor, equipment, materials and chemicals, employ licensed pesticide applicators, provide service reports, and post notification signage when required.
