McDuffie County Board of Commissioners invites you to submit a proposal for recreation concession
services. The contract will be for one term beginning September 2026 and continue until Dec 31, 2027.
Three (additional) years may be extended, subject to annual review and the annual availability of an
appropriation by McDuffie County, Georgia Board of Commissioners (“McDuffie County”).
Sealed responses will be accepted by the McDuffie County Managers Office located at 210 Railroad
Street, 2nd Floor, Thomson GA. 30824, until August 28, 2026 at 3:00 PM.
The selected vendor will operate concession stands at Sweetwater Park (180 Sweetwater Park Drive) and other specified playing fields in McDuffie County, Georgia. Responsibilities include selling approved concession items (bottled water, sports drinks, Coca-Cola brand soft drinks, candy, packaged snacks, pre-packaged frozen treats, and optionally pre-made foods prepared off-site in a licensed kitchen) during all McDuffie County games, athletic tournaments, and scheduled events. The vendor must staff the concession area with trained personnel, provide all products, supplies, and equipment (POS system, cash drawer, card reader, coolers, freezers, display racks, signage, and a vending trailer for the football field), manage payment processing, and maintain cleanliness of the concession area and immediate grounds. The vendor must pay a Gross Revenue Percentage Fee to the County monthly, submit accounting reports, and coordinate schedules with the McDuffie County Director of Recreation. The County provides electricity and structural repairs not necessitated by vendor negligence.
