DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The Bulloch County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed
bids from GDOT Prequalified Contractors for this project: FY27-ENGCP-001-2 Metts Road
Drainage & Road Repairs Project. The project consists of demolishing the existing four (4) 60-inch
reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) culvert crossing and constructing a new reinforced concrete triple-
barrel 10-foot by 4-foot box culvert system. Roadway improvements will include fill slope repair,
shoulder repair, subgrade construction, graded aggregate base, asphalt pavement, signing, and
pavement striping. The project is located on Metts Road approximately 425 linear feet south of the
intersection of Two Chop Road and Metts Road, near Latitude 32.567414° and Longitude -
81.835880°.
TIME ALLOWED FOR PERFORMANCE: The project shall commence immediately following
issuance of the notice to proceed. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the work
and certification of same within 90 (Ninety) consecutive calendar days after the date of the
issuance of the Notice to Proceed and shall achieve Final Acceptance of the work within 120 (One
Hundred Twenty) consecutive calendar days after the date of the issuance of the Notice to
Proceed.
TERMS AND TIME OF PAYMENT: The contractor shall receive payment within fifteen (15) days of
receipt of an approved invoice for quantities installed, with a retainage factor as specified in the bid
package and contract.
