This project will replace the fire alarm system in the Interdisciplinary Research Building (IRB), a 211K GSF building built in 1995 containing 25% of the research laboratory, lab service, and animal facilities on the Health Science campus. The scope includes the existing fire alarm panel, sensors, horns, strobes detectors and communication backbone, and the connection of the new system into the existing campus fire alarm mesh network.

The project will replace the existing fire alarm panel, sensors, horns, strobes, detectors, and communication backbone, and connect the new system into the existing campus fire alarm mesh network. The CM/GC will provide preconstruction services including technical review, cost verification, value engineering, and schedule development, and will manage construction, including competitively selecting subcontractors and developing component bid packages. The CM/GC will commit to a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and will be responsible for methods of construction, safety, scheduling, and coordination of all work.
