Staff Support to the Tribal Radioactive Materials Transportation Committee for Engagement with the U.S. Department of Energy on Radioactive Materials Transportation Planning. Facilitate engagement between DOE and federally-recognized Tribal governments throughout the United States in planning for future large-scale DOE transportation of commercial used nuclear fuel (UNF), high-level radioactive waste (HLW) and other radioactive wastes, as well as related DOE program issues that may impact Tribal areas.

The Recipient will provide primary staff support to TRMTC, convene two TRMTC committee meetings each year, support shipment planning and preparedness activities, develop communications and work products, and maintain a public website. The Recipient will also participate in ad hoc working groups, coordinate Tribal participation in DOE-S&T's Transportation Core Group, and support assessment of routing and infrastructure issues related to transporting UNF, HLW, and other radioactive materials in proximity to Tribal lands.
