Under this contract, the contractor shall to provide collection and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste. The contractor will be responsible for waste characterization and profiling, on-site collection and lab packing, transportation and manifesting, and final disposal and certification of all covered waste products. The contractor must have the manpower to transport waste from Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAA) to the Central Accumulation Areas (CAA) monthly and lab pack collected waste based on the amount of hazardous waste produced by the laboratory. The contractor will also be required to provide spill response and emergency cleanup services.

The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary for the characterization/profiling, collection, packaging, manifesting, and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste generated at the La Jolla Laboratory. Tasks include: waste characterization and profiling; on-site collection and lab packing from Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAA) to Central Accumulation Areas (CAA) monthly; transportation and manifesting using certified transporters; final disposal and certification at authorized Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDF); and spill response and emergency cleanup services within San Diego County. The contractor must comply with RCRA, OSHA, EPA, California DTSC, San Diego County DEHQ, and DOT regulations.
