The contractor must provide snow and ice removal for designated sidewalks or paths after a minimum of 3 inches of snow and ice accumulation, or as directed by the Department. Responsibilities include mobilizing to assigned locations, supplying all labor, tools, equipment, fuel, and approved de-icing material, coordinating equipment use with the Department, following OSHA and MUTCD guidelines, supplying at least one truck-mounted attenuator per work zone, placing removed snow adjacent to sidewalks without harming structures or plant life, applying de-icing material as directed, and immediately notifying the Department of any issues such as inability to begin work, equipment breakdown, or property damage. The contractor must also maintain daily work records and submit detailed invoices within seven calendar days after each snow event.
