The State of Delaware will permit fur trapping on a unit basis on the following State Wildlife Areas: C&D Canal (3 units), Augustine (5 units), Cedar Swamp (3 units), Eagles Nest (1 unit), Woodland Beach (4 units), Little Creek (4 units), Ted Harvey (3 units), Milford Neck (2 units), Marshy Hope (1 unit), Assawoman (1 unit). The permit is for the 2026-27 trapping season running from December 1 to March 20. Trappers may only set traps to take muskrats, otter, beaver and raccoons, except within areas designated to allow upland trapping for species permitted as per Delaware law. Trappers must supply all labor, materials and other necessities to trap. A mandatory harvest report must be returned by April 15, 2027.
