FIRE STATION NO. 4 RENOVATION & EXPANSION
This project consists of the renovation and expansion of Fire Station No. 4, located at 411 Waters Dairy Road, Temple, TX. The approximately 2,400-square-foot residential quarters will receive a 550-square-foot addition on the east side to expand the sleeping quarters.
The renovation includes demolition and reconstruction of the exterior siding and stone around the entire facility. An addition will be added on the southwest corner of the building to serve as gear storage. Site improvements will be made to the paving to provide a more secure parking layout.
The construction will match the existing wood-framed building and will not require modifications to the current roof structure. Interior renovations will be made to the residential quarters, including updates to walls, ceilings, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
The apparatus bay will remain fully operational throughout the renovation of the residential areas. Refer to the MEP and Civil drawings for details on maintaining full functionality of the apparatus bay during construction. Fire department personnel will remain on site at all times, operating from a mobile-home trailer and responding to calls with their emergency vehicles.
The architect's estimate of probable cost associated with this project is $1,882,650.
The selected Contractor shall complete the work within 426 consecutive calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
