San José State University Student Union, Inc. (SUI) invites proposals from qualified consulting firms to conduct
a comprehensive Market and Financial Feasibility Study for the Provident Credit Union (PCU) Event Center,
located on the SJSU main campus in downtown San José, California.
The PCU Event Center is a 5,500-seat, 142,484 gross-square-foot multi-purpose arena constructed in 1988.
Operated by Student Union, Inc., the facility serves NCAA Division I athletics, university events, concerts,
community programming, and conferences. The University recently completed an architectural feasibility study
(conducted by Perkins & Will) evaluating facility improvement and rebuilding options. This market and
financial feasibility engagement is the critical next step—providing the market data, demand validation, and
financial modeling necessary to inform capital planning and investment decisions.
The selected consultant will deliver an integrated market analysis, financial modeling, revenue forecasting,
competitive benchmarking, and strategic recommendations to support long-term planning for the Event Center.
