Pre-Bid Conference: BPHC is seeking vendors for Maritime Transportation Services for its Long Island Campus.
The Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) is seeking services for maritime passenger transportation to and from Long Island, with vessels having a protective enclosure. BPHC is also seeking operational services for barging transportation to and from Long Island, including transporting vehicles, equipment, snow removal equipment, trash containers, compactors, oil truck deliveries, and other items. The barge must have oil transportation capacity of no less than 5,000 gallons per service. The contract also includes an add alternate for supplying and installing a floating dock (minimum 40'L x 15'W x 6'D) and a gangway. The passenger ferry must guarantee a minimum of two roundtrips per week and up to seven roundtrips per week, weather dependent, carrying 4-20 passengers. Departures are from Marina Bay Ferry - Squantum Point Park, 552 Victory Rd, Quincy, MA 02171 to Long Island Campus. Barge services are as needed, and BPHC may request short notice emergency runs with 24 hours notice.
