UCLA requests a written response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select a Materials Testing and Deputy Inspection services consultant for the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRUMC) 4th Floor Patient Care Reconfiguration (Project #907518.01). The hospital is located south of the campus at 757 Westwood Plaza in the City of Los Angeles. The scope of this project includes the renovation of approximately 67,300 square feet on the facility's 4th floor. The work involves the reconfiguration of the existing North, West, and East Psychiatric Nursing Units within the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, as well as the administrative office space located in the "Neck" area of the floor. Upon completion, these areas will be converted into three acute care Medical/Surgical Nursing Units. Construction will be executed in concurrent phases. The project will be delivered using the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) project delivery method. The project falls under the jurisdiction of the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) and other applicable state regulatory agencies. The construction cost for the project has not yet been determined and depends on bidding. It is anticipated to be $100 million. The anticipated aggregate fees range from $500,000 to $3,000,000 over the term of the PSA, with an option to extend the fee limit by an additional $3,000,000 should the contract duration be extended. The selected consultant will demonstrate familiarity with a full range of Medical Center/Hospital/ HCAI project types, including new construction, renovations, and other project types. Previous experience in public university settings is preferred but not required. The complete RFQ packet will be available at http://www.uclaplanroom.com on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
