The Department of Corrections is soliciting sealed bids to provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, permits, travel, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete utility installation for the new modular office trailer located at the Ketchikan Correctional Center (KCC) as described within Section 01000 of the ITB. Work location will be at the Ketchikan Correctional Center (KCC) in Ketchikan, Alaska. Bids will be received until October 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time. Bids will be opened at 802 3rd Street, Suite 220, Douglas, Alaska 99824.

A pre-bid site visit is available upon request. Interested vendors must contact the Project Manager: Shawn Ratliff, (907) 269-7035, to request and register for the inspection and submit the “Clearance Form and PREA Form” to the security agent to run a background check to allow access to the facility. The form must be filled out for everyone attending the site visit and must be submitted 72 hours in advance. Clearance Form is included in the bid packet. Email your form to shawn.ratliff@alaska.gov.

The project is in an active correctional facility operating 24/7; the contractor must work inside and outside the secure perimeter, and all tools and materials must be removed and stored outside the secure perimeter at the end of the workday or in an approved locked container. On-site work shall be 7 days a week, from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM, with no overtime unless approved by the DOC.
