The Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs (DMVA) Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) propose to replace the entire roof (base bid), replace all siding (base bid), paint/patch all upper & lower concrete areas (base bid), paint all hangar doors, windows, exterior doors, and exterior ladders (base bid), replace all existing exterior doors (bid alt #1) and replace all existing exterior windows (bid alt #2) on Bryant Army Airfield (BAAF) Hangar 1 located on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER). Details and attachments will be outlined in the ITB solicitation as well as associated attachments.
Mandatory Walk-Through on September 3rd, 2026 at 10 am. We will meet at the parking lot at the Construction Facility Management Office, Building 57024 Camp Carroll, JBER, AK 99505. Suggested that you pre-register to be notified if this date/time changes. If you need base access passes, you will need to register with the Project Manager a minimum of 48 hours before the walk-through time and date.
Deadline for Receipt of Bids: Current deadline for this ITB will be 1:00pm Alaska Time on Sept 15th, 2026. Information for submitting quote can be found in the attached ITB. Late offers will be rejected.

The base scope includes replacing the entire roof (approximately 17,500 square feet of EPDM roofing), replacing all metal siding with insulated metal wall panels in Rock Tan (Smooth) color, painting/patching all upper and lower exposed concrete areas Mansard Brown, painting all hangar doors and exterior ladders Rock Tan, and painting all hangar doors, windows, exterior doors, and exterior ladders. Bid alternates include replacing all exterior doors (bid alt #1) and replacing all exterior windows (bid alt #2). The contractor must provide all design, engineered drawings, materials, equipment, permits, tools, labor, travel, licenses, insurance, disposal, and all other expenses to complete the project. The work includes removal and disposal of existing roofing and siding, installation of new roofing with a minimum 75-90 mil EPDM membrane, vapor retarder/air barrier, insulation, and flashings. The contractor must also repair cracks/missing mortar in exterior concrete walls, clean and paint concrete surfaces, and paint hangar doors and ladders. The project is located at Building 47430 Bryant Army Airfield JBER, and all work must be completed in accordance with applicable UFCs, UFGS, IBC, and federal, state, and local/military requirements.
