The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, QEI-certified inspectors, tools, certified test weights/equipment, instrumentation, PPE, and materials necessary to plan, execute, and document semi-annual inspections and five-year Category 5 testing for all identified elevators at the Big Spring VA Medical Center, 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, TX 79720. Semi-annual inspections shall occur every six months in accordance with ASME A17.1/A17.2/A17.3 and VHA SOP #34. Category 5 tests shall be completed during the first month of the base year and first month of option year 4, applying 125% of rated capacity using certified test weights. The contractor must submit a Testing & Safety Plan, provide comprehensive report packages including QEI certifications, and comply with VA/VHA safety policies.
