NEW Water Testing Services

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, facilities, transportation, tools, and supervision to perform water testing services for SPS and Dental Services at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center. Testing includes monthly critical water testing (pH, conductivity, total alkalinity, total hardness, color/turbidity, bacteria, endotoxin) at multiple locations (DI, RO supply/return, Medivators); quarterly utility water testing (pH, conductivity, total alkalinity, total hardness, bacteria, color/turbidity) at sinks; quarterly steam testing; quarterly dental waterline testing (bacteria) in five rooms; quarterly laboratory Millipore waterline testing; bi-weekly cooling tower and chiller testing; annual ionic contaminant testing (aluminum, chloride, copper, iron, manganese, nitrate, phosphate, sulfate, silicate, zinc, total hardness) and total organic carbon; and on-demand retesting within 48 hours of notification for out-of-range values. The contractor must follow specified sampling protocols, maintain chain of custody, and provide electronic reports within 72-96 hours of sample collection.
