LITCHFIELD GRASS HAY To Feed Animals, 2026
The contractor shall provide 250 tons of grass hay, delivered in 3-twine small bales weighing between 100 and 130 lbs each. The hay must be from 2026 crops, domestically grown, sun-cured, and free of mold, dust, and specified weeds. Acceptable grass types are Timothy Grass only or a combination of Timothy, Brome, and Orchard Grass; Bermuda, Teff, or Canary hay are not allowed. Bales must be cut with a crimper, baled with rat and rot-proof twine, and delivered via clean vehicles. Deliveries are FOB Destination to the Litchfield Wild Horse and Burro Corrals, 474-000 Highway 395 East, Litchfield, California 96117. The contractor must provide State-Certified Weight Tickets and notify the COR three workdays prior to shipping. Delivery times are 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The contractor is responsible for offloading equipment at the site.
