The contractor shall provide a designated ASL interpreter for up to 1,920 hours per performance period to support a CNIC Deaf Professional (DP) employee, including daily interpreting, incidental learning, and social conversations. The contractor shall also provide adhoc ASL interpreter services for events lasting longer than 1.5 hours, up to 768 hours per performance period, for meetings, trainings, and other highly complex events. Services may be performed on-site at the Washington Navy Yard or via video remote interpreting from a private setting. Travel to U.S. Navy installations outside the National Capital Region may be required infrequently. The contractor shall ensure interpreters have current national or state interpreter certification, at least 10 years of professional ASL interpreting experience (or equivalent education/experience combination), and proficiency with specific technology terminology including SharePoint, Information Systems Security, and SQL Databases.
