52.232-18 Availability of Funds. Availability of Funds (Apr 1984)
Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government’s obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.

The contractor must remove and safely dispose of existing carousels, install new vertical carousel units and connect them to the facility's 110-volt power supply. New units must include a hand crank for power outages, a built-in work surface not exceeding 39 inches, dimensions not exceeding 132" H x 116" W x 56" D, capacity up to 2,020 linear file inches, no more than 20 carriers for letter-sized trays, an imbalance sensor, a user-friendly control panel, self-balancing design, and automatic interior lights. The contractor must provide technical support with 24-hour response, preventive maintenance every six months for the first two years, training for government staff, and all manuals and documentation. The contractor must clean the work area and provide a minimum two-year warranty covering all parts, labor, and software.
