The contractor must perform a geophysical survey using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) at a project unit covering up to five acres on the Coconino National Forest. The work includes conducting intensive GPR survey of block areas at transects no more than 1 meter apart, identifying and accurately locating all subsurface disturbances and anomalies that could represent previous excavation, creating georeferenced maps, and submitting a draft and final report with geospatial data, digital photos, and raw data. The base unit is on the Flagstaff Ranger District (approx. 2 acres), with optional units on the Red Rock Ranger District (approx. 2 acres) and the Mogollon Rim Ranger District (approx. 1 acre). Fieldwork must be completed by July 15, 2027, with draft reports due 90 days after fieldwork completion and final reports 45 days after Forest Service review.
